We're here for you. Our nationally-recognized model prepares volunteers to help fulfill your organization's goals while reaching youth in an effective, dynamic way.
We have been dedicated to improving the physical, academic, and social outcomes of kids in underserved communities by eliminating the barriers to their participation in great sports programs. Created with support from the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the San Francisco Foundation, Coaching Corps’ model addresses the need for youth in underserved communities to have a positive role model during the afterschool hours – the most unsafe time of day for youth.
To date, we have partnered with hundreds of community organizations and provided thousands of coaches across the country to youth who need us most.
What it Takes
- An afterschool youth sports program that meets at least twice a week and serves youth from underserved communities
- The ability to support and supervise Coaching Corps coaches
- Criminal background check for volunteers
- General liability insurance
If your program doesn’t meet all of the criteria, but you’re interested in bringing a Coaching Corps coach to your organization, don’t worry. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can discuss your options.
